07 Mar 2006 Fuel pressure bleed valve
Update 20210918: I didn’t install the Eggenfellner Subaru engine, so any post that references that can be ignored or used as a cautionary tale about how to avoid wasting many years and $50k.
Here are a couple of pictures of the fuel pressure bleed valve. This is simply a brass tube with a very small hole – probably about 0.5mm in diameter – on one side. It goes in between the high pressure side of the fuel system, and the fuel return side. In the Eggenfellner Subaru engine installation, he has it going just around the fuel pressure regulator.

Here is the large hole. I’ve been calling this a valve, but it has no moving parts.
