The exhaust system has connection points, called "bungs", welded onto them for two sensors on the left, and one on the right. These bungs are for the air/fuel ratio sensor, and the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
I had my exhaust pipes coated with a ceramic material to reduce the amount of heat radiated under the cowl. I got this done at Jet Hot (jethot, jet-hot) coatings. More information here: Jet-Hot Ceramic Coating on Exhaust Pipes
This worked out really well, but I didn't consider that the coating would cause a buildup in the threads on the "bungs". Bummer. Now I need to find some taps to clean out these threads.
