Canopy Latch Handle Modification

This tip came from Danny King:

I cut the D off flush with the flat plate, and then cut about one inch out of the D. I re-welded
the D back on with my gas torch. (acetylene and oxygen) I painted it, then later had it chromed.
The latch is very easy to use. You can move the rear seatback forward, and access the rear cargo
compartment, without sliding the canopy forward two feet to clear the oversized D handle. I have
seen others cut down the fiberglass seatback to clear the handle.

Maybe this mod will also clear the race car seats that some are thinking about using. In either
case, this mod is worth the effort.
