Left Elevator and trim tab - 9 hrs

Preparing the left elevator was very similar to the rudder and the right elevator. Cutting stiffners, clecoing parts together, drilling out holes using either #30 or #40 drill bits, deburring, scuffinging, and dimpling all the parts and the skin.

Everything is clecoed together, ready to be drilled.



After drilling, all comes back apart for deburring, dimpling, and scuffing with scotchbrite.



A photo of the electric trim system. Even these little brackets need the full treatment. They are included with the kit fully drilled and bent into shape. Excellent quality, and a recent improvement to the kit, it seems.



The trim tab is very small and easy.
