Here's a weird one - flew through some rough weather last month in the Midwest and now I can see tiny droplets of water covering the inside face of my ASI. Guess I should remove the instrument and have it serviced before it corrodes internally.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Phil,
I've never had water trouble, but good pitot lines have a water "trap" built into a low spot just for that purpose.

Sounds like instead of air pressure against the workings of the ASI, there is a leak, allowing air to pass THRU the unit. The asi gets pitot or ram air, which should only pressurize, not go to or through the unit, and static air, same deal. The static line should have a water trap, or be run uphill from the static port, to preclude water actually entering the system. If there was a leak in the unit, that would allow moisture to pass thru the system, you would get the problem you mentioned. Jeff, RV4 N605RV
